Another Disney Day

Wednesday was supposed to be our "rest by the pool" day.  And we did get a good amount of rest-time in.  BUT, we also decided to head on back to the Magic Kingdom for the late afternoon/evening and try to make it to the Wishes! fireworks.  The boys had never seen fireworks before, so this was to be a bit of an experiment prior to the Halloween party fireworks on Friday.

Resting and swimming was wonderful, as always, and I was so happy to see both boys so happy and confident in the water.  They just couldn't have been happier.  As luck would have it, just before I was thinking we'd need to start getting ourselves together to head to the park, an afternoon downpour started.  We were actually "trapped" in the pool for a few minutes, because it was coming down so hard and fast that we would have been freezing if we'd gotten out!

Showers, clothes, and a couple of snacks later, we were off to the park.  We took a cab to The Contemporary resort, and then took the monorail all the way around.  We knew the boys would love the monorail, so the extra time it took was worth it.

Normally afternoons, even during low-crowd season, are somewhat busy.  The rain, however, had chased some people away, so we again had no lines for anything.

We were able to check off Buzz Lightyear's SpaceRanger Spin and the Peoplemover before going back to Fantasyland and repeating some of our favorites from Tuesday.

I'd gotten last minute reservations at the Liberty Tree Tavern, so that was our next stop.  The boys were cranky and grumpy (having been woken after a brief nap in the stroller) but by dessert they were happy again, and for the rest of the afternoon and evening, they were angels.

We were able to do some more rides, including BTMRailRoad again before heading over to the Crystal Palace to find a place to view the fireworks.  We were lucky and were able to push the stroller right up to a railing so that the boys had a beautiful view.  I am not ashamed to admit that I nearly burst into happy tears when looking at their little faces during the show.
