Epcot, Swimming & Whispering Canyon

We spent the morning at Epcot and kept pretty much to my intended schedule.  We ONLY went there to do The Seas with Nemo & Friends, TestTrack and FutureWorldWest.  We did the World Showcase last year and it was just not fun for the boys and therefore not really fun for us either.

The boys DO like the aquarium, so that was our first stop.  Thomas was especially excited, but Samuel was eager to move on to TestTrack.

After a pretzel snack (and watching a squirrel rummage through numerous strollers, stealing food and licking DRINK CUP LIDS) we headed over to TestTrack.  Needless to say, we left no accessible food or drink in our stroller!

Both boys liked designing their cars, and the ride started off well, but when it started getting bumpier and faster, Sam - who had been so excited - started saying, "I don't think this is a good idea!"  Unfortunately, that was a bit late to duck out!  The rest of us really liked the fast, fast ride, and I think that Sam did as well, but by then he was committed to his "I'm never riding that again!" mantra.  Considering that they both posed - smiling - for a picture outside the ride, I don't think he hated it that much.

A tour through FutureWorldWest (fire truck/fire safety exhibit, car race video game, piggy bank game) we ducked into The Land pavilion, went through the Living With the Land boat ride (which Sam declared his favorite) and then headed back to Wilderness Lodge.

For as much as Sam seems to allow himself to get scared about rides/experiences, his confidence is absolutely sky-high at the pools.  He swims everywhere by himself, runs to the slide, and just loves ever second of it all.  Thomas, the little fish, is also in love with swimming, and the only hard part is getting him to keep a life-vest on when he starts to get tired.
